I am Nabi Haider Ali, a full-time illustrator and original artist working out of my tiny LA apartment shared with my wife and two cats (both of whom, by the way, are terrible helpers).
When I am not crunching on kidlit picture books, my passion is in researching religious iconography and creating devotional pieces, particularly those inspired by my Tamil and Shi’a Muslim identity.
(I am also half-Kannadiga—and worst of all, a Madame Alexander vintage doll collector—but don’t tell anyone else.)
