Fatima, The Mother of Her Father
Fatima az-Zahra, beloved daughter of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W., is often referred to as Umm Abeeha—that is, “Mother of her Father.” In the early days of the Prophet's mission, his adversaries would pelt him with stones and refuse, which Fatima as a young child would lovingly clean away from her father's injured body. Having grown up an orphan, the Prophet would find the love and care of his mother at his daughter's gentle hands, upon which he conferred this title upon her.
Here, the Prophet holds the infant Fatima, who (like any baby) promptly grabs his face and pulls on his hair. But to the Prophet, this is akin to the embrace of his very mother.
